About
Our History
Mark and Lynette Storer bought their first tow truck in March of 1988. As an experienced tow truck operator Mark knew that with enough hard work he could offer better service than any of his previous employers. With a sound business plan as his guide and a wife determined to stand by his side, Mark began running calls out of their house.
Lynette was the company’s original dispatcher and Mark was the first tow truck driver. Neither ever gave up the mentality that their company would only be successful if they worked hard every day and had faith that God would provide for them. Their goal was to build a reputation for providing fast, friendly, and reliable towing servive to the greater Seattle area.
Within six months they located a storage lot in the Burien district of unincorporated King County. The property was up for lease, so an office was built and the property was immediately used as a secure vehicle storage facility for the business. Soon the company would meet the high standards of the Washington State Patrol and King County Sheriff Office so they could be vendors. The couple worked diligently to improve the company far beyond state and local standards. As the company expanded, other police and government contracts became achievable. Airport Towing has since performed services for the Washington State Patrol, King County Sheriff’s Office, Tukwila Police, Port of Seattle Police, Des Moines Police, Seattle Police, Normandy Park Police, the United States Postal Service, and many others.
In 1996 Storer Enterprises, Inc. incorporated and has continued to perform the highest quality of service in the industry since it’s inception more than 20 years ago. The corporation expanded services to include police services, private towing, heavy duty towing, accident recoveries, rental car exchanges, vehicle unlocks, jumpstarts, tire changes, car auctions, private impounds, load recoveries, and many other specialty services that are needed throughout in the Puget Sound area.
A Tragic Accident
July 24th, 2008 Mark Storer died in an airplane crash along with his son and faithful employee Brian Storer. Mark was a private pilot with a maticulous flying record, but an undetermined problem with his aircraft caused it to lose altitude shortly after taking off and plane crashed seconds later. The memory of Mark and Brian remains the heart and soul of the family business. Both had visions of an increasingly successful towing company that had become a staple in the community.
